If I won a million dollars, I would..

If I won a million dollars, I would
Jump in joy, kick my heels up in the air and let out a hysteric laugh.
Or would I sit on my chair dumbfounded, unable to move
Or strike the floor in a baff.

If I won a million dollars, I would
Go on a shopping spree and get everything that I ever wanted.
Diamonds, Rubies and Pearls; Jimmy Choo, Gucci and Rolex;
‘cos I’d be in a nervous wreck, distraught and disoriented.

If I won a million dollars, I would
Set to travel the world.
An absolute European tour would do,
For it’s in my bucket-list to
Have coffee in Paris, afternoon tea in London and sip a cocktail in front of Eiffel;
Catch a Flamenco in Spain, Ballet in Moscow and the Opera in Vienna;
Get some vintage buffs from Istanbul, Leather from Florence, Cuckoo clock from Black Forest and Time-travel in Athens;
Visit the Louvre, Colosseum and London Eye;
View the Northern Lights in Iceland and just sit and lazy the day away in Greece.

If I won a million dollars, I would
Calm down and set my priorities straight.
For I’d then go for things I always loved the most;
Exquisite coffee, books, concerts and theater that make me elate.

If I won a million dollars, I would
Do good things that my heart always cried outfor.
Help the widows and disabled men in our Forces, Sponsor 5 kids for education;
Adopt a village and donate free food for poor for 10 years;
Not because I should, but because I want to.

If I won a million dollars, I would
Get the world’s best kitchen equipment
And gift a penthouse and Audi to each of my immediate family;
And buy one for myself.
For I would then drive to my dance lessons and gym, cook my heart out;
Remain happy and stay grounded for life.

  4. All of those things sound awesome! It’s really nice to dream and I hope they come true for one day! In the meantime there are still some of those things that are totally doable without the million bucks.

  7. I can imagine what you’d do with the cash, splurge and do for the needy. It’s lofty thoughts. I’d first empower the needy, fund education of the girl child then buy my favorite brands, travel places and buy a house for myself. Of course, starting my venture. The hunt for money would forever disappear.

  8. Doing good for those less advantaged than you is such an inspiring thought. I think, often, if I had money, how I could benefit those like my disabled brother in law. The system in our country needs so much changing for those with disabilities.

  9. I share some of those thoughts – world travel (I would take a cruise around the world). The best coffee! But no Audi…in some ways I don’t think I would want all the obvious trackings of being reached. Enjoyed your list, though!

    Love that you would buy a car and home for your family. It’s in the giving that we actually receive, isn’t it ? Great post!

    My suggestion- jump to the next to last and work your way up.

  14. Oh no! I thought your husband would be gifting a Royal Enfield first and your blogger friends an invite to the European tour! Just broke my heart! Sigh!
    On a serious note, I hope you get the million dollars and invest a little for the future too. 😉
